Punjab TET www.tetpunjab.com 2013 Punjab State Teacher Eligibility test (PSTET)

The Government of Punjab can conduct Punjab teachers Eligibility test (PSTET) 2013 as per the formalities set down by the central regulating authorities. Punjab TET is for the candidates aiming to become teachers in primary (class I -V) and upper primary (VI-VIII) schools within the state of Punjab.

PSTET 2013 notification will be discharged by the Department of primary school Education, Punjab OR involved examination board as directed by the govt of Punjab. For B.Ed. qualified candidates to be considered for teacher jobs in schools run by the govt and private managements PSTET exam in compulsory. Candidates may be facilitated to use on-line for this exam.

Eligibility and Qualifications for Punjab TET:

Candidates should have following qualifications as prescribed by the NCTE. The State governments may modify the qualifications and eligibility requirements as per the GOs issued by them.

Punjab TET (PSTET) class I-V teachers Qualification (Paper I) 2013:

Candidates should have passed in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 45 % marks. Those appearing in final 2 year Diploma in elementary education / 4-year Bachelor of elementary education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 – year diploma in Education in special education also are eligible. Or Candidates with BA / B.Sc. with a minimum of 50 % marks and B.Ed qualification also can apply.

Punjab TET (PSTET) Qualification teachers of classes VI-VIII (Paper II) 2013:

candidates should have BA / BSc and those appearing in final 2 year BSc / BA / DEd with at least of 45 % marks and passed / showing in B.Ed / Senior Secondary with a minimum of 50 % marks and passed or showing in final 4-year Bachelor in elementary education.

PSTET 2013 examination pattern, syllabus and Scheme:

PSTET syllabus consists of 2 objective kind question papers. Every paper will contains a hundred and fifty MCQs and every question carries one marks totaling for a hundred and fifty marks. Following are the details of question papers

Paper I and II: For those candidates who interested in teaching from class I to VIII. They will appear for each the papers and have to get qualifying marks to be considered for all the classes.

More than five lakhs students of Punjab are awaiting the results, an PSTET candidate who scores 60 % or more in Punjab TET examination 2013 are going to be considered as PSTET pass.
